The Community Allotment and Gardening Club

The Gardening Club has gratefully received grant funding towards the purchase of a shed and tools, and to support the work of the Gardening Club co-ordinator, from the following:
- 2009 and 2010 - Community Foundation for Bournemouth, Poole and Dorset - Grassroots Grant
- 2010 and 2011 - Partnerships for Older People Projects (POPP)
- 2011 - the Co-operative Membership Community Fund
POPP funded workshops 2012
No.3 : 12th January - Seed Saving Workshop. Seed saving session on the allotment, using seed collected the previous year, prior to the seed swap and plant stall at Potato Day (14th January).
On the allotment: onions, garlic, shallots, broad beans, rhubarb and radicchio are all growing well.
